Youth Violence Prevention Program
An aggressive 12-week program consisting of 6-weeks of
Gang Prevention & Intervention training with a focus in
Leadership, allowing YVYLA to instill useful qualities and
important life skills and 6-weeks of Anger Management, a
study in self-respect, self-restraint, personal responsibility
and healthy choices. With the support and participation of
local agencies and the addition of a new mental health and
substance abuse component, this program gives YVYLA the
best chance to prevent youth from both beginning and
living a destructive lifestyle.

H.O.T. Spot Program - Healthy Options for Teens
A Teen Pregnancy Prevention/Life Skills Program aimed at
reducing the number of potentially pregnant teens while
increasing the number of teens matriculating to college and
helping to strengthen parent-child relationships. Youth are
trained in health education, reproductive health, male and
female anatomy, relationship communication skills and
informed on the risks, dangers and consequences attached
to irresponsible intercourse and teen pregnancy. College
tours are taken to introduce school as an attainable life
goal and a positive alternative to unplanned pregnancy.
Forward Focus Leadership Program
A character development program that uses hard work and
fun, inspiring activities to help youth build core values and
inspire positive leadership qualities. The program has a
strong focus on goal setting, role modeling, character
development and community service; training youth to be
leaders both individually and as a part of a group dynamic.
Here youth learn the meaning of empowerment and
engagement as they use their new leadership skills to
complete a service action project and actually work toward
a desired dream or goal.

A.R.T.S. for Youth Program
A.R.T.S for Youth, Artistry is a Road To Success, is designed
to encourage youth to be creative and express themselves
through art. During this program young people are trained
to acquire or develop the ability to be painters or sketchers,
graphic arts or web designers, poets or spoken word artists
and dancers or singers. Through art our special needs
teens express their joys or work through their frustrations.
More importantly, it’s done with guidance, support and
given structure and their talents are featured and
showcased during community art shows and talent nights.
C.U.T.T. Center - Career, University, Technology Training
The Career, University and Technology Training Center (The
C.U.T.T. Center) is a multipurpose facility where youth can
go to improve their academic performance, learn vital
computer skills, receive help in planning their futures or just
hang out. Built for comfort and relaxed learning, The
C.U.T.T. Center is a safe environment with a positive vibe,
has a computer lab and houses a variety of programs like
After School Tutoring, Computer Literacy and College and
Career Planning; all aimed at helping young people create
and follow a blueprint for success.

Youth Employment Development Program
A collaborative partnership with Planned Parenthood and
Command Labor Staffing Agency to promote Job Training,
Job Search and Job Placement for teens eligible for and
desiring to work. This program trains youth in work ethics
and workplace behavior, preparing applications, preparing
for interviews and more. Individual employability skills are
identified and youth are trained in academic enhancement,
communication and technical skills and team building to help
improve deficient skill levels; ushering youth from school to
work as they learn to find, obtain and maintain employment.

Youth Advocacy Training Program
The Youth Advocacy Training Program is designed to reduce
the number of incarcerated youth in San Bernardino County.
Its purpose is to give young people a voice and to help
recruit new members for the San Bernardino Chapter of the
Youth Justice Coalition. During this training youth are
educated about the prison industrial complex, to know their
rights, on policies and laws that affect them and trained to
be youth organizers and to create campaigns to lobby for
institutional and community changes that are of importance
to them. Here youth learn to be included in the process.
